We have created this Privacy Policy to explain the types of information we collect, what we do with that information and how we protect it. IG may update this Privacy Policy at any time.  The modified Privacy Policy will be deemed to apply to you, commencing on the date that it is posted to the Site.

What Information We Collect. IG collects information from you when you contact IG via email, join our mailing list, submit a comment or contribution, register in the Service Provider directory and/or subscribe to the Site, as applicable. Collected information may include such items as user name, password, email address, job title and company affiliation, as well as information concerning your professional experience and interests. We will indicate where the provision of this information is mandatory and where it is optional. We may also collect information concerning websites you visit before, during and after your visit to the Site.

How We Use Collected Information. IG may use the information you provide us to get in touch with you, to improve your browsing experience, improve the Site, inform you of special opportunities and/or for other purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.  We may also aggregate information for trend analysis purposes and disclose it to non-subscribers, however such aggregated information will not include any of your personally identifiable information.

Unless you have authorized us to do so (such as by providing information for inclusion in the Service Provider Directory), we do not share the personally identifiable information we collect from you with anyone outside of IG, except as necessary to the smooth operation of the Site. For example, we may need to share your information with our hosting company, credit card processor (if you make a credit card payment) and/or to others who assist us in monitoring and improving the Site. Credit card information is not retained by us after completion of the relevant transaction. Also, we may need to share your information with regulatory or other legal authorities if required to do so. If IG is sold or undergoes another form of change in control, we may need to share your information with the entity that assumes control of IG.  In any event, IG will only share your information for purposes that are consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Cookies may be used in connection with the Site to enhance the experience of the user and to gather data to help improve future services. If you elect to turn off cookies, you may experience reduced functionality of the Site.

Please remember that any information that you provide in the Service Provider Directory, in discussion forums and/or in any other publicly available portions of the Site, if applicable, may be viewed by all users of the Site. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Please note that any subscriber with full access to the Site, including discussion forums, has the option of selecting a user name unrelated to his or her real name in order to keep his or her postings anonymous. Importantly, every subscriber must provide his or her real name as part of the registration process, even if a user name is selected that is something other than the subscriber’s legal name and/or the name used for billing purposes.
